This term of rule in new Andhra Pradesh is turning out to be quite successful already. Barely a year since taking over, CBN and his cabinet are on a spree of development with people’s lives showing improvements instantly. Be it the little things like fixing hundreds of thousands of miles of roads, reducing power outages and get this power bills in a historic first.
CBN has also streamlined access to temples and tourism spots and other public spaces. Delivered on their promise of mega DSC hiring upwards of 15000 new teachers in one fell swoop. This has literally improved the lives of thousands of people and their families looking for those jobs.
While this is happening domestically, Nara Lokesh has been quietly working behind the scenes to turn AP into the new investment hub. With his connections from Stanford and world bank days, he has managed to convince TCS, CTS and a number of other local IT companies to setup shop in Vizag. But the latest in his bag of tricks was the signing of an epic MoU with none other than google, which promised to build their cutting edge AI centric data centre in Vizag and eventually invest upwards of 15 billion dollars. Think of the positive impact this is going to have on the traditionally backwards districts of north-east AP. With thousands of directs jobs and many more indirect ones, the region is set to be completely transformed in the next decade.
CBN and Nara Lokesh are a clear example of what happens when commitment meets capability and good intentions meet good governance. This new wave of investments will only be a beginning, and the wealth multiplication that is about to take place in Andhra Pradesh as a whole is going to be stuff of legends. Congratulations CBN and Lokesh, and the great TDP leaders and cadre. Congratulations to people of Andhra Pradesh. Good luck.
